My boss has a Siemens SX66 smartphone and really regrets buying it. He now wants to replace it with a Windows mobile device. Things that are important to him are:

Push mail
Ability to open MS Office documents
Quad Band (non negotiable0
Blue Tooth
Wifi (nice but not mandatory)

What devices would you recommend as a replacement and why? I appreciate any tips.

...well, there's always the 2125, the 8125, or any of the other Windows mobile devices that Cingular sells. One of the good things about many of the Windows mobile or Smartphone devices (that are either directly by Cingular or by on or offline third party dealers) are quad-band anyway, so they're all essentially compatible with Cingular.

Wirelessly posted (Cingular 8125: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Symbian OS; Nokia 6682/4.62.0; 6936) Opera 8.50 [en-US] UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

the 8125, mda, 9100 or the kjam are good ones to go with. Essentially the same

I have to say if you one looking for a windows based one at this moment it seems that the 8125 is the one for you but there seems like if he is willing to wait there will be some more coming up soon

Perhaps you should ask your boss why he regrets the Sx66.

I had an SX66 for a year and Cingular replaced it under warranty with an HP 6515. I didn't really want to give up my SX66, but they were backordered. I had misgivings about the smaller screen and no wifi, but found I could live with the smaller screen and without wifi (could use one of the 2 card slots for wifi anyway). I found out I much prefer having the keyboard always right there (not a slide-out) and I also found out I want GPS on every device from now on. I am sold on the transition from SX66 to HP6515, until there is a better device with built-in GPS.
