Verizon V3c Ringtone Problem...

So, with the help of you guys I've been able to do all kinds of great things to my phone, but I've run into an odd problem. I made and put a bunch of ringtones on my Razr and they all play fine on my phone when just listening to them, but when I set them as a ringtone (that option is always available) my phone won't ring when someone calls! The screen will just say "so-and-so is calling" with no ring whatsoever. When I go back to the standard ringtone or others supplied by Verizon it rings every time. The mp3 ringtones I put on it are 64kbps and 24khz in format. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
