QPST Doesn't Display Files in Directories

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I'm on a KX434 and I get the directory names from QPST EFS Explorer, but there are no files in those directories, even after I uploaded a ringtone, then restarted the program.

Is this software not compatible with my phone?

Ok - update. I was able to view the filetree in BitPim. So I go back into QPST and rename my ringer to Chrome_Waves1.mid (the name of a default ringer. The ringer I want on is windhillmud.mid).

I try to upload Chrome_Waves1.mid with QPST, but I get Error 111: Illegal operation attempted

If I uncheck 'Overwrite', then it says 'File already exists'

So the file is there for sure, but when I download the file to my computer from BitPim ( I can dl, not upload), winamp says the encoding is 3C, whereas mine is 5C. Maybe the illegal operation is putting an incompatible ringtone on the phone?

i'm afraid you're gonna need a camera phone for this.

I think I just need the Kyocera Phone Desktop software....

If I got that, the problems should be solved.

Help anyone?

KPD is not going to help you with pictures, mp3 ringtones or games. Your going to have to use bitpim.
