alright i have heard about alot of you guys having alot of sidekick's so just curious to see who has had the most and how much did u get your original sidekick's for, i paid 108 bux for mine

I have gone through 6. I have bought and sold all for about 180 to 210. I've made a small profit on all the ones I sold.

actually I sold the SDA. Sold the 6620 that replaced the SDA. Got another sidekick 2, and within 5 minutes of having the thing the network went down and I couldn't browse, so that is for sale. I bought a SE w600i, but right now I am not able to use it (unlocking issues) so I am looking at two other phones.

It's been a busy two weeks

yeah, it was. Got it on a saturday sold it that wednesday. Keys were just waaaay too small for me

yeah, I feel ya. I have a friend who is in the music biz and he has to keep up with a billion labels, his friends, his family, and some ultimate frisbee teams he plays on. He needs his sidekick to mass communicate and keep up with everyone/thing.

I however am a bit more insular and need more personal productivity than the sidekick allows, plus I can't stand it when there is a network outage!!!!

I just got one for 140...hehe, but its having hardware issues, when I first got it it worked great for like 30 mins, then I started to update, and now its not working, says something about having hardware issues, code Net7, blah...anyone got a solution for me?

1.) turn it off and keep it off for about 5 minutes, and try again

2.) try with a different sim

3.) hold the power button and but a safety pin in the reset hole. Phone should vibrate then come on.

If none of these work, warranty return it (if you can). There isn't a whole lot of troubleshooting you can do with the sidekick.

My sidekick 2 nightmare:

Ok so like I said earlier I got mine for 140 3rd party. It worked fine yesterday when I first activated it checked male, chatted with friends the works. then it started the OTA updates. Well the V2.3 OS came though with flying colors, but the Radio firmware is UNKNOWN. I was just on the phone with Danger and they said that it was an issue with the Radio/ the firmware isnt working with it. Tmo, wont exchange it for me as they say its out of warranty, and I even asked for a out of warranty exchange and they couldnt do it. I OFFERED to PAY them, it wasnt like I asked them to fix it for free. Everything works but the Radio Firmware. In my estimation the OTA update fried my SK2, and now neither Tmobile or Danger will own up to it, and the escape goat is that Im out of warranty and I bought it 3rd party. even an offer to pay for an exchange was not good enough for them. Everyone was very sorry and nice, but Im still out 140 bucks unless any knows a place I can send it to have fixed 3rd party. Im very bumbed, as I think it would have been a great device for what I needed. Solutions are more than welcomed. thanks.

ive had my 1st sk2 for about 6 mths now,and its looking and working as good as the 1st day i got it..i treat my phones with the utmost care...that is until i get bored of it
anyway,from what im reading i guess i should be getting prepared to go through a few of em...until the SK3 comes out.

ive had mine sk2 for a little over a year...no problems, its blinged out now,, just waiting for the sk3...i purchased it as a tmo to go acct but now its on my family plan.

I'm on my 3rd sidekick II. My 1st one had sim issues on day 5 and my 2nd one had the keypad peel up on me (much like this one is doing). I bought it new out the store for a whopping $267 after the rebate. I just had to have it & I got it! Still glad I did.

Tmobile and Danger have a wonderful relationship where they are two seperate companies and love to point the finger at each other until the customer gives up. They deleted my account because I had three months of inactive service. I kindly pointed out that that term length and consequences is not in their end user liscencse (on the sidekick or online) and not in any contract extension that I signed. Because of the termination, I lost ALL the software I had bought, and (of course) they wouldn't refund or credit me the money to repurchase (even though I could prove proof of purchase with my tmobile bills). They did offer me 100 free minutes though

! (yes that is sarcasm).

If its still messed up, you are going to have to buy a new one straight from tmo or off the ebay market. Because it's so locked down there is nothing outside of Danger people can do to recover from a software crash, and we both know tmo and danger really don't care.
