hey everyone, i need a work phone that is durable and quad band, i was looking at the v557 because i think that is the most rugged work phone i will get correct? when i say rugged i mean that can handle being around concrete and stuff and drop a few times a week on brick. i currently have a razr but then again who doesnt, but i want a work phone and a phone after work via sim swapping, so i can get rid of my nextel work phone...any help is appreciated thanks...

Its fairly durable yes. Personally, I think the nokia 6230 is a beast. I also had a z520a which handled a lot of rough drops. I think a v557 in a leather case will handle whatever you throw at it

Either get whatever phone you want thats in the current line up and use a "Body Glove" Cell suit...

or look into ebay for a panasonic "Dura" phone, AT&T used to have them kinda ugly and not too many features. I'm not sure if they are GSM, if they are not your outta luck since its a TDMA phone with no SIM card......

V557 is pretty rugged phone and it works very good as a phone as well. My friend has one and he is one of those guys who just uses his phone for making and receiving calls. He is very happy with the V557.
