Help With Using 6682 As A Modem

Hello all. I am having a slight issue and am wondering if anyone here can help me with it. Here is the situation. I am wanting to use my Nokia 6682 as a modem for my laptop. I currently do not have a data plan because I wanted to try this out first before I add one. I read the info in PC Suite about how to connect your 6682 as a modem. I decided to do this via USB. I plugged the USB into my phone and then into the computer. I then went to PC Suite and clicked on connect to the internet. And whalaa it connected and it worked great. I then decided I was going to try and get kind of fancy, so I tried connecting via bluetooth. When doing this, I kept getting an error message saying something like "failed to connect to the network, please check your connection settings". I tried everything to no avail. So, I decided that it was not worth it via bluetooth. So, I removed the bluetooth drivers, turned off bluetooth and attempted to connect again just through the USB. I have never been able to get it to reconnect again. It just keeps giving me that failed to connect to network message. So, here are my questions:

1. Does Cingular have a way of knowing I was trying to connect with a modem and has now shut me off until I buy some type of a modem data plan?

2. Is there something I could have done that now is not allowing me to connect?

3. Should I remove PC suite and reinstall it fresh?

4. How can I fix this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. One thing I should mention and this shouldn't make a difference. But, the first time I connected successfully throuhg PC Suite, I did not have any dialing properties set up. But, when I went to phone and modem options, it made me set up an area code before I could proceed to the next screen. After this, I was never able to connect again. It won't let me take out the area code, it makes me have something in it. Just thought I would mention this. Thanks.

Brent
