(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I am really looking forward to th rokr e2 being released, but that happens to be on june 2nd! Reveiws say it is a great phone.
My current samsung cellphone is almost done for and i need a new one. The features im looking for are bluettoth, great mp3 sound quality, and price upt0 300$.
Right now my mind is set on the samsung d600 because ive got a agreat deal. But since im looking for a a music phone should i wait for the rokr e2 from motorola?

Posted by: nokiaman76

It sure seems like it since it dont have itunes even though im a mac user the 100 song limit turned me off of the first one

Posted by: tigerx

that 100 song limit is history now.

the only concern i have for the e2 is the battery life. but that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I would wait...the E2 looks like it will be very good. My concern for the E2 is that it will start a fair bit above that $300 mark and take a while to get below it, so that might be even more waiting.

Otherwise it has better screen then the D600 and takes SD cards for music, how could you go wrong?

yes, this phone will do nicely until the sony ericsson w950i is released next quarter...hey can anyone tell me if the june 2nd launch date for the ROKR e2 includes canada? i've been looking everywhere and until now, i've only heard second quarter:

no, I don't think it includes Canada, we usually take a couple months longer to get phones...although we did beat the US to the punch with the Moto V3i and SE W810i.

And btw, their is not friggin way the SE W950i will EVER get here, Rogers only takes phones with GSM 850, and because SE is brilliant (in design and such) but incredibly stubbern and stupid (not realizing quad-band is the way to go) this will be but a dream...unless you are rich, live in a city, and never travel outside of it.

hii...could anyone tell me where to find information on the Rokr E2 other than the phone description. And does anyone know who the ROKR E2's service provider's going to be?

Thanks

I hope you googled first. This site itself has a preview of it and there is a review of it here: http://www.mobile-review.com/review...a-e2-1-en.shtml, there is tonnes of other previews around. Just remember, google is the secret to all.
As for a provider, I'm afraid its hard to say since we have no indication of what country you are from and there are people from all over the world on this site...but I will assume that you are from the US in which case the provider will be Cingular. If from Canada...the provider will be Rogers.

I had many of this moments...and still continue to. There called noob moments. No, neither of those phones are coming to Sprint...Sprint is CDMA, and those phones are GSM phones, different technologies altogether.

i just bought this here in china a few days ago. audio output is great (comparable to sony ericsson w550c which i had before) but with less bass and lower max volume setting. i bought the ht820 bluetooth headset separately and listening to music without wires is really sweet. however, the music skips occasionally (with ht820 headset only, wired headset is ok) even if i am very near the phone and doing nothing. need to bring the phone and bt headset back to the shop to determine which one is producing the skipping problem.

btw phone is about US$280 and comes with a 128mb SD card.

wow, its so cheap...and so good. I love the screen.

Posted by: jajabinker

Is it released in china or other asian countries too.
I did not buy a d600 waiting 4 the phone (6 painful months)

$280??!! Where did you find the phone at that price??

hi. my skipping problem was fixed by the motorola service center here in china. they just updated the firmware of the ht820 bt headset to a newer version.

Screen better than d600? Where's the proof? I always thought the d600 had one of the best screens in the industry.
