i think i just killed my V3 during the unlocking process

well i paid my 20 from unlockcellular.com and got my credit username and pw and proceeded to go through what looked like a simple process...i plug her in to my laptop...it down loaded the driver(s) then i disconnected and then turned it on to the bootloader screen. connected it back up and launched the remote program to unlock it. followed the instructions to a T and when i clicked the "unlock" i got this weird notification about can not create a USB device. then my v3 just sat there w/ "SW upgrade in process" and that's where it stood for 10+ mins. what the heck happened???

whew got an email back from them and told me to d/l a different version of remoteclient 1.05e and got it to restore. Now i'm just waiting for an additional credit to try unlocking this manually w/ remoteclient. well no go...i really think this is an omen and i just need to take this to a local shop to get it unlocked. I dont want to fry this thing. Unlockcellular has been great with trying to help me w/ this, that i must say.

MotoPhoenix (used by GSMLberty, and others sre switching to it) is what you should have used. You probably have BootLoader 08.26, and AFAIK, only MotoPhoenix can successfully unlock BL 08.26. All others can only do 08.23 and below.

thanks for theheads up...i went to the local shop and he was able to do it no problem at all.
