V551 antenna loose

My v551's antenna was forced out some how recently. The grooves for the screw are all messed up - so now i can no longer tightly secure the antenna onto the phone. Is glueing the antenna a safe thing to do? I know that i cannot block the contact between the inside of the phone and the antenna tip. So is it safe to glue the top portion of metal which is not yet covered by the rubber of the antenna? If not what is a good way to secure the antenna?

Unless you specifically know what you're doing, I would not try to fix the problem. I would take the phone to your carrier's service center to have it fixed or send the phone to Motorola for repair.

Find s local authorized Motorola repair center and take it there. They need to replace the antenna base and maybe the antenna. Usually a $15-20 job.

Good luck...JL
