Ho,
I had no problems before the latest upgrade but I just updated my Motorola Phone Tools and now as soon as i open it and select a user profile(i've tried using a new one ) this message comes up - "telephoney interface cannot successfully start" - then the "phone setup wizard" comes and freezes part way through. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling every thing to no avail. I've run the DRIVERTOOL.EXE but the problem persists. (I've noticed the phone light up as if it were recognized, nut nada) Short of unistaliing again and trying to use an earlier version, I don't know what to do? Anyone help?

did you install a modem?

Go to Start ->> Run >> type in services.msc and press enter. Find the Telephony service and double click it. Make sure it's started and set to automatic.
