you just pop it off from the bottom

yeah, theres a little slit at the bottom. just gently pry it up from there with your fingers.

I have a question for you w600i users:

Have you tried to buy different faceplates for this phone? Where's the best place to find them? I've found a few places that sell them, but I don't want to buy some shoddy piece of plastic.

I've purchased them all from ebay, but most are painted plastic, where the paint rubs off really easily. I've purchased a couple sets of OEM plates that are much better quality and considerably cheaper than buying direct from SE.
You can also get a couple different colors at www.cnn.cn.

Faceplates are super easy. At the base of the faceplate there is a slit ... stick a finger nail in there and pop the faceplate off. Then, just pop the other faceplate on, making sure everything clicks in place. Do be gentle, though. Battery cover is much more straightforward.
