I was recently thinking of getting this phone for my dad as a gift. He has been wanting a new phone for a while and this looks like a pretty good one. However if I buy an unlocked version of this phone, will the internet access still work with using a T-Mobile SIM Card. Or do I need to "brand" it to T-Mobile, and how would I do that? Please include a link to any sites you know that may be of some help. Thank you

no you can get a unbranded one and it will work with tmobile, you just have to manually do the internet and message settings. I would do some more research before purchasing it because i had one I its is a poorly built phone. This phone is also about 1 and a half year old phone.

Yeah, stay away from the MPx220. I got one and loved it, until (a) it stopped charging, which ultimately led to its downfall, (b) it locked up constantly, (c) no one could hear me on the other end of the calls, and (d) was generally a piece of sh*t.

There are better smartphones (Windows-based or otherwise) you can get, for sure.
