I saw the phone at a sales rally with Cingular branding and I was told it would be out by march

That sucks .

I hope Cingular never picks it up.

As for release, protos are floating around. Some pop up on Esato every now and then.

Reliable sources have told me global release will be April.

How bad was the branding? At least Cingular's color matches the walkman theme......

hrmm intersting news

doesnt mean it will come out

Posted by: paul34

wow with the new announcements by SE about their newer models I forgot all about the w810... oh well, resolution is too low on w810 anyways

Posted by: randomtask77

I thought it'd be the complete opposite. With the newer SE phones coming out, I thought they'd want Cingular to release the W810.

they should dump the w810, pick up the w300 which is a quadband clamshell walkman phone, and also pick up the k790i which they can advertise as the best cameraphone in the US. that would be smart marketing if you ask me.

Advertising the best cameraphone in the US that cannot send photos over MMS, because the higher quality photos are too big KB wise, would not be smart marketing.

The W300 is quadband?

I disagree. Also, camera phones of this magnitude always downsize the picture in preparation for MMS. Didn't you know that?

I think having the best cameraphone in the US market would be a profound marketing statement to be made by any carrier.

Is there a reason why it's in holding, I am not sure who heads up the product dept in Cingular but they have missed some very good phones and they have help up some good phones....

sure wish they would become more agressive when it comes to this ..
