Please help... I've tried the latest BITPM and lose the animation when it resizes and transfers ANIMATED GIFs to my card though the size is right and when I re-sizing them to 320 x 198 and several other sizes and transfer ANIMATED GIFs the animation works but I can't find a size that fills the whole front screen. Anyone ouy there figured out the trick for ANIMATED GIFs?
(I really did search and search here and Google... please someone, anyone take pity on this newbie. )TIA

I just copied the gif to my SD card as a test when I read this post. I did not use BitPim to translate it... It is an animated gif of a spinning skull, like what you might see on a website. It animates fine until the screen shades down before going dark. I had an American Flag waving on the Main screen... It also was fine until the unit went to the darkened screen. Then it slowed way down.

Thanks for your input!
maybe I got a little complicated in my post... when I download an animated gif file to my card:
"the animation works but I can't find a size that fills the whole front screen"
DID YOU REALLY GET ONE TO FILL THE WHOLE FRONT SCREEN?
If I use one with a white or transparent background it looks ok and works just fine; though it will have been re-sized and shifted towards the upper left corner of the front screen...
If you've gotten an animated gif with a dark (actually, anything but white or transparent) background to completely fill the screen...
like this one: http://brucerk.tripod.com/hofo_blue_spinner_320_198 or maybe you could try this one and post your results?
1.what size/s work for you?
2. would you please email one that works for you to me so I can try it one my 9800?
THANK YOU! THANK you, thank YOU!!!
