My smt5600's screen just took a dump. So I picked up a mpx200 for $45 and sold my smt5600 for parts for $60. I wanted a mpx220 again because I ended up hating my candybar phone. I just don't have the cash right now to blow on a phone especially since I'm not even sure if i'm gonna stay on cingular. I did not need bluetooth because I think the quality still sucks. Cameras are fun but the only thing i needed was someone to hold my appointments and schedule and contacts and play mp3s off my mini sd. The mpx200 fit the bill.
Some concerns...will the dual band be a problem? Does it drop calls a lot? I may end up getting an mpx220 in the summer when I have a few more bucks. I plan on upgraded to WM5 so i can have windows media 10. Will I still be able to sync my music? How about sending MMS?

nice buy, you could sell that on ebay for ~100 and make a tidy profit

I have both a 200 and a 220. The 200 is much more solid of a phone...and there is a WM5 upgrade out there. The only trouble is that I live in a relatively rural area and the dual bands just don't cut it for me. If I were to move to the big city I would switch back in a heartbeat.

Actually the mpx200 had reception problems, i should know, i went through 3 of them, it works fine most of the time but its ultra slow to the point of crashing. thats when i got the 220 and kicked *** in a massive scale. Much more solid and stable. Faster too! The reception is great, only thing that sucks is that the 220 needs a mini sd card unlike the 200 which has full sized. The 220 really isnt that expensive, im selling my mpx220 for 250 shipped OBO. Good luck buddy1

Yeah, the full size sd card is super sweet. They are much cheaper for a larger capacity too.

My main beef with the 200 is it has absolutely horrid reception... even worse than a Typhoon. It also is extremely slow... slow to the point you will pull out your hair. I do like the fact that 2002, 2003 and WM5 work on that phone... that's pretty neat. The fact that it is only 1800/1900 is also bad if you aren't in an area with coverage on that band. I will say it is a very very solid phone; I absoutely love the screen on it!
