Up until today I had nextel, with a motorola i275 phone. I was able to connect to my nextel phone via the data cable and some software, and upload ring tones that I made through Soundforge. To see what I am talking about,the software can be seen here

There has to be software that will allow me to do this with my vx9800, does anyone have a link?
