Alarms for 8125

Hey fellas,

I travel quite a bit and I used my old cell phone as my alarm. Also, the old phone would change automaticaly to the local time zone and it had a standard alarm.
My 8125 doesnt change time zones on its own and the alarm ring tones suck .

Does anyone have anysuggestions on how to add a proper alarm with better ring tones and a way of making change time zones?

If you find an answer about the alarms let me know because I've had the wizard for 5 months and the alarm function was useless.

IIRC, all Windows mobile phones do not have the ability of updating the time status on their own. this has to be done manually.

so I would think that you could just go into the date/time settings and adjust the time zone as well. (at least I would think thats how its done...)

Don't think you'll find a utility to change time zones. As for an alarm program you might check Handango.com.

Timezones are set manually via clock and alarms in system settings. I've never had a problem with alarms myself. I use calendar reminders to generate them however, and have repeating alarm enabled for the notification setting.

Do you mean your able to set a "repeating alarm" for missed calls and voice mails???

I set them in outlook usually on my laptop and then sync. But with those ear blistering stereo speakers, the alarm is VERY USEFUL

The various notification events can be customized in personal settings/sounds & Notifications/Notifications tab. Voicemails and missed calls are valid events there so the answer is yes.

Hey fellas,

Thanks for the replies. My last phone just auto updated to the correct time zone and in my line of work I do multiple time zones each day. That feature also helped with the alarm.

I'll check handango and get back to you guys.

it would also be nice to have the time and date auto-updated after you remove the battery/sim for those of us who swap between phones. my 6620 does it right away from the cingular network.

pls post back with what you find.
