cingular 8125 has a little external antenna plug in the back of the phone. Does anyone know where to buy the external antenna for this phone. I'm planning to use the external antenna to extend wify and (or) phone signal. Thanks

Where is this little external antenna plug you are talking about? This would be news to me because I can't find anything like that.

If you are looking at the back of the 8125 there is a little gray rubber plug to the upper left hand side of the flash. Take that off, this is where you plug in an external antenna.

It's probably a standardish plug of some sort, check it out at I believe cellantenna.com is the site.. I think they have pics of standard antenna connectors

do those external antennas really do much? I'd like to try one out, but dont' want to waste my money -- anyone have any experience w/em? I got up to the north ga mnts every once and a while and never get signal....wondering if this might help?

I am currently living in a FEMA trailer in the middle of nowhere in S. MS and I have no signal inside the trailer and 1 bar outside. I mounted an antenna to the roof of the trailer and ran a cable inside and now I have 4 bars and full EDGE speed on both my 8125 and my Aircard 860

This works on my KJAM same as the 8125 this is only the adapter you must purchase an antennae separtely

How do you pull that plug out? I've got large fingers and no nails. I'd be pissed if I tore it.
