I could not get the mms to work using the Jamin. My bluetooth keeps closing before it completes its config. It will alson not recognize it when I try to connect )mobile phone) but it will recognize it when (using any bluetooth devise) Thank You |

Apple will need to do something for this to work I believe. |

1) Put the attached script in /Library/Modem Scripts/ (unzip it first) 2) In the System Preferences, go to Network, then select your Bluetooth connection 3) In account name, enter: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM 4) In password, enter: CINGULAR1 5) In telephone number: wap.cingular 6) Then click "apply now" to save 7) Select the "Bluetooth Modem" tab 8) Select the "Generic 3G CID1" script you placed in the scripts folder in step 1. Now you can either click on the "Dial Now..." button or open the Internet Connect application yourself (that's what the button does). Then click "Connect". From now on... all you need to do is launch Internet Connect and click connect. |

I'm trying to browse the phone from my computer so I can put files onto it. Whenever I try, I get Device does not have the necessary services. But, I can send a file from my phone to my Mac. |
I very happy with the Customer service at Cingular. I made the switch from Verizon. I use the unlimited internet plan and they do not charge me for tethering bluetooth to my mac. Verizon makes you pay extra for every service.|

To send files to your 8125/2125 from the Mac, you need to go to Start->Settings->Connections->Beam then check the box that says "Receive Incoming Beams" Now from your mac's bluetooth menu, select send file, then choose the 8125/2125 and click send. The transfer will start and you'll get a screen on the phone about whether you want to cancel or accept the transfer. The files you send will go into /My Documents/ on the phone - I've found no way to transfer directly to the storage card. NOTE: I've found if the phone is keypad locked, the transfers will fail, so you ned to make sure your keypad isn't locked when starting the transfer. |

When i go under system preferences and click bluetooth, under devices, it shows as a "computer". It never asks me if i want to use this device to connect to the internet. Is this possibly an update to OS 10.4, or is it possibly because you all have updated the ROM on the 8125. Can somone help me out please, i'd love to get this working, thats what i bought it for anyways. thanks!

I have to go to text.dslreports dot com to do my speed test because it is so slow. Last test was 63k and I'm in Edge territory. |
(or a bit faster)
