Hey, I need your guyz help, I just sold my D500 cuz it lacked 850mhz, so now I'm looking for a new phone...so would u get the D600 or Magenta Pink V3 Razr???

would you use the higher end features of the d600? if you think you would, i would go with that. if not, i really like razrs. they just feel great and look even better.

i want to be able to put mp3's on it..so i guess d600 has more memory right?

yeah, but you could go for the razr v3i and that has expandable memory and a 1.3 megapizel camera. I think it would be around the same price as the d600.

I had almost the same question, except I was thinking about the PEBL, which has an incredibly sexy form factor, but kind of "meh" features. I like the ability to play MP3s on the D600. I was looking at the features of the V3i (at HiMobile.net) and it does not appear to have MP3 playback. There may be a way to hack it, but (reading the SLVR threads) trying to add iTunes to a non iTunes SLVR (i.e. not bought from Cingular) is very, very hard, and frought with danger.

This is driving me nuts. I can't decide wtf I want either.

It's hands down the d600. The Razr is a crappy, featureless phone that everyone and their grandmother has.

The V3i's without iTunes have a digital audio player to play back mp3's

D600 for me hands down too, I even think it looks more sleek than the razr

^ is the D500 bigger or smaller than the D600..I luv the "glossy" look of my old D500 but unfortunatley it lacked 850mhz

I'm starting to lean more towards the D600 now becuz, you guyz are right everyone and their Grandma's are using it. But do you know af any other Quad-Band Samsung phones comming out? I don't wanna buy the D600 and then 2 months later sumthing better comes out..u know..

The D-807 is supposed to drop in the second quarter of this year. It appears to be just a quad band version of the D-800. It may be pretty hard to find, because outside of Cingular in the US, nobody else uses the 850 band. The D-800 adds WMA playback, and has EDGE support.

The D-600 has a better resolution camera (2 MP), only supports AAC and MP3, and does not have EDGE (but I see that Samsung does have a 600E that does, if you can find one).

So, if EDGE is important you may want to wait for a few months and see if you can get your hands on a D-807. Otherwise, get the D-600.
