Slider SE47 headset & ring option

I use a headset a lot with my SE47, but I have found that the ring "out of phone" option does not change how the phone rings when the headset is connected. Regardless of whether I select "out of phone" or "out of headset", an incoming call still rings just thru the headset, which causes me to miss a call if the headset is not in my ear. Is there another menu option that must be set to allow the handset to always ring fo an incoming call even if the headset is plugged in? Thanks!

i have found the same problem. and it's a major pain because a few months ago I fell in the rain and my phone's mic has never worked since then, so the only way to use it is with a headset/mic. 
i can't get another phone yet, but i was never able to find a way to get the ringer to be heard "outside" with the headset plugged in
