i loved my cingular 8125 but it just quit working,theres a x where the e for edge would be and the singal bars are gone,with little dots moving back and forth like its searching for a singal.i took out my wifes sim and put it in the 8125 and no go but my sim worked in hers.i erased all the data so it would be like i bought it and still no go.i guess ill have to go all weekend without my new baby.

my battery want even charge.i have to do a soft reset to turn it back on when i take the battery out.

Do a hard reset and start over. You can go to settings->system->Clear storage to initiate hard reset.

My first 8125 had screen problems. Even after aligning the screen several times, the screen would drift out of alignment and would not select items correctly. After several resets, it got better, but I'm still sending it back. When you popped the battery out, did you wait before putting it back in? Sometimes it helps to wait 30 seconds before putting it back in.

After I got my replacement phone, I had the problem you're speaking of.. an x where edge usually is and moving lines...They failed to set up my account right and had some conflicting stuff going on. Also, it's happened when I have bad reception, like inside our building.

Hope this helps....I can at least empathize with your plight.

Seems like your having a radio error. I had this happen once because soft resetted the device when it was searching for a network. To fix this I simply turned on Wi-fi, then turned it off, then it started to search for the network and connected. Another thing you can do is switch in and out of Flight Mode. To activate Flight Mode, tap and hold on the Signal Meter and when the info balloon pops up select flight mode, wait about 20 seconds and switch it out of flight mode, see if that helps.

well after the battery drained all the way,and after i called to get a replacement the thing just starts working again.dont know what happened but ill keep using it until the new 8125 gets here and i will keep the new 8125 just in case.
