No new WebSession file after deletion?

I deleted my Websession file and performed an OTA installation of the AT&T (Cingular Blue) GPRS and MMS settings. I expected to find a new Websession file when I P2K a/, but there is none there.

So where are the new "locked" sessions kept? If I needed to get rid of them at a later time, how would I do that?

Thanks!

As a workaround, I edited the original websessions file to unlock each of the original entries. I copied it back to the phone and the new entries somehow became part of the websessions file. I just deleted what I didn't want via the phone keypad. Now if I need to get rid of what I have, I can delete the file.

try re-booting your phone. imho, when ever i delted my websessions file, and re-booted, a new one was created, not sure if u have to go into the websessions menu in the phone before its created but it is made u just need to reboot to show up sometimes, and btw, yes i DID do an OTA update to my rogers & fido settings and the file did show up did infact have the settings in it.

Interesting. I'd like to try it again to see for sure. I did try a reboot and everything. I went so far as to try a master reset. I sorted the files in P2K to make sure I wasn't missing it (WebSessions is last alphabetically).

Thanks for the input. When I get bored, I'll mess with it more

make sure you set the file's attributes as "System"

Thanks! I went back and set the attribute to system. I did forget to do that.

Yep, you have it right. Before seeing your post, I used p2k commander (newer version that works with the SLVR) and when the phone builds the file, it has it hidden (attr 6). For some reason, even though my p2k tools is set to show hidden files, it won't display it.

I also like that p2k commander tells me what "system" file does - makes the file survive a master clear/reset.
