How does your caller ID work? I mean, DOES it work? With my service in Hawaii (808NetFone) it does not work entirely...on incoming calls it will show the number but not the name of the caller. Apparently on outgoing calls I make, it doesn't show my name either. They say it's not a capability at this time. Is this an industry thing (like difficulty with faxing) or just my service? Thanks!! |

I have Vonage, with a London, ON number, and a Columbia SC virtual number, when I call my London number from my Bell cell It shows up unknown name when i call my Columbia number from that same cell it shows Cell Phone ON.. some cell companies will let you have a name show up, I think Sprint allow's this, maybe some others do too.. Like I and Dot_Null said, incomming CID is pretty reliable 95% of the time, there are some times that it screws off and gives the wrong number, I have never had this, but alot of ppl on vonage-forum.com have complained of this.. unfortunatly, there is nothing in the works for outgoing CID name tho at this time.. |
