I bought a used sidekick last week and it had software ver 2.0 on it and I just got my account active today and got the sidekick up and running. But I didn't get any ota update untill 11 tonight when I decided to reboot the sidekick. But to make a long story short. I got the 2.3 now. But now the web browser looks like crap. Everything is harder to understand it cause it reformats everything all messy now. Plus when I was trying to load this site my java ran out of room. The funny thing is that I have no apps installed and no email. I do have a lot of pics though. But its funny how other sites didn't run out of room. But this site witch all it is, is a forum site... Hahahaha so I dunno if the update is better or worse.

i dont know about that...try doing a soft reset...your the first person i heard say that. plus the browser has been faster than ever during the past 2 or 3 weeks. something wrong there..def. not the upgrade.

some sights have a lot of javascript. turn Javascript off and it will load faster.

ok well after a little more playing around. the internet does work better then before. but some of the things are still strange the way it reformats the page... like on myspace.com the bulletin board post are all funny looking or the search box looks strange too..
also i noticed with this upgrade. the sidekick 2 UI seems to lag a little bit now. like when u go to unlock the phone from the screen saver. it takes like 2 or 2 seconds before it comes off.. also when scrolling through the jump screen it will lag every now and then... and after taking a picture it seems to take longer to load the pic that u just took. also its strange how it has the animation now.. thats probly whats making it take a longer time. is playing that loading animation.

also in the top left hand corner i have noticed a loading animation that comes on all the time when i am going into a application. or exiting out of one..
i dunno it seems better in some ways. but in other ways i have noticed some changes. and delays. so its kinda a 50/50 deal

I only used the older version for a few days last summer, but there were a couple key sites (for me) that were essentially unusable due to poor formatting. Now the 2.3 formats them correctly. A few sites look better on skweezer.com

Skweezer is also good for sites that come up with limited mobile versions such as msnbc.com.

Are there any other reformatting sites out there?
