I bought my v3c and like it, especially since the BT works well in both of my cars. But I'm finding more and more businesses won't allow camera phones inside. Thus, the phone is becoming useless for business use. Calls to Verzion and Moto were a waste of time.

Anyone know of a hack that can disable the camera phone function. Verizon says the only way is the break the phone lens, Moto says there is no software mod possible. I don't believe that any modern software-driven electronic device can't be modified to, say, ignore a button - such as the camera activation button on the v3c.

Anyone out there have any suggestions that will allow me to disable the camera?

ummm maybe try not using it and its also a v3c not a vc3

Take out the plastic piece over the lens, and paint it or cut a piece of plastic to fit in its place.
If your crafty and want to make it permenant. I suggest taking off the outer face plate, take off the camera lens cover, and sand around it and in the hole with a fine grit sandpaper. Then fill in the hole with a thin layer of JBweld. Then sand the whole thing smooth and repaint the piece and put it back on the phone.
Good as new.
