Got a PPC6700, but Can't Sync!

I just got a PPC-6700 from Sprint as an eval. I cannot get the syncing to work though. I've tried on 2 different computers with both ActivSync 4.0 (that came with the phone) and 4.1. I can install the software okay and when I plugin the phone the XP recognizes it but ActivSync refuses to see it. I did get it to sync one time via Bluetooth on my laptop, but that was it. It won't do that anymore either. What on earth is going on there? Anyone had issues like this? I'm getting pretty frustrated with it at this point...

It didn't work at all for me and I did everything. I settled for getting a MailStreet exchange account, Wireless ActiveSync, and reaming Sprint out about it (since its a known issue) until they gave me unlimited text for a year to compensate me. Works better and I don't have to remember to plug my phone into my computer.

Worked slick for me. I followed the directions and installed ActiveSync first with the USB cable connected but not the PPC, etc. I had some issues getting the Sync feature on Media Player to see the miniSD card but I solved that by doing a repair of the MS ActiveSync via the Control Panel>Add/Remove programs.

I think the correct order of installing things would've been to install Media Player 10 first, then activesync, then plug in the PPC.

Make sure your DHCP client is enabled on your PC. Go to your Services on the PC, I'm assuming you're on XP:

Start - Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services
Make sure DHCP Client Service is started and set to automatic.

A key symptom in XP is that you'll see it trying to create a network connection when you seat the PPC in it's cradle.
