SMS backup Sim Card

Hi Guys,
I am trying to back up my sms / text messages. Currently the messages are being stored on my sim card, which is running out of space.
I was hoping someone would know if a software or technique exists, where I can back up my sms messages to my pc, or be able to store messages on my phone ( v551 or slvr l7).
Any help, ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.
