Hey guys... I tried Mark Venture's proceedure for using p2kseem, but when I tried to load a seem from the phone in p2kseem (any version I tried, including "4v710") the program seemed to think it done good, but no actual data was returned. And when I tried saving, the resulting file was empty. The program reported being connected, and PST loaded the phone book data fine. The only place where I knowingly deviated from the instructions was in not uninstalling PST after installin the triplets workaround, since I didn't see an uninstaller, and instead deleted the ini he said to replace and reinstalled PST, which installed a new ini.
Any ideas why seem loading might not be working for me?

[I'm using a V3C from Verizon with .02 firmware, which I luckily just got as an exchange for a .03 phone.]

Also, I noticed the "COM12" file included with some software, which simply contains "AT+MODE=8", which I tried sending directly to the phone through a terminal program, and which then caused the terminal program to be disconnected and the other hardware devices to be detected, just as when running PST. It was also enough to get p2kseem to change its status from "Not Connected" to "Connected", while it was running in fact. So it looks to me like this is all we've been using PST to do, in this case. Except of course returning the phone to a normal state, which we can do anyway by power cycling. Try this out guys and let me know if I'm right.

Btw there's also a "USB Diag" option in the phone's test mode, which is set to "modem" by default. Does anyone know if this deals with the same thing? If I recall correctly though, that option can only be put into three states, not 8+.

(probably would have gotten more responses over the the Verizon> Moto section as that is where MOST of the people with Verizon phones hang out, and it appears our CDMA phones are a little different than the GSM Motos used by the other carriers...)

What version of PST? (hopefully v7.23), There have been many reports by E815 and V3C users of P2KSeem not reading data in with version of PST lesser than 7.23...

When it came to PST asking for Drivers for the "4 Devices" did you use the drivers from my web page?

DO NOT use triplets workaround... If you have, COMPLETELY UN-INSTALL PST, then re-install.

Btw, which seem are you trying to edit? what Byte value did you use? Which Record Number? and Which edit are you trying to do? Incorrect Byte value or Record Number for a particular seem file can also cause this.

As for the "AT+MODE=8" to put in Suspend/Diag mode "instead" of PST... I've not used this, so I am not sure if its 100% the same as.
