I used to have the nokia 6255 on verizon before I got kicked off before verizon came out with the 6256, it was unlocked and I had uncrippled everything I could practically do anything, drag and drop mp3 and they worked amr to save space and they also worked. now the 6256i I just received and taught it would have limited crippled menus but I drag and drop music both Mp3 and amr but none will work (invalid file) and the other thing I notice I can't go directly into my contacts it say name on the right soft cay and I have to do a search to see my contacts even if I do it through the menu options I would like a fix for that. but my question does anyone have the firmware for the 6255 and will that work on the 6256, or a hacked verion of the 6256 that unlocks certain features thanks

hey, thanks I'll mess with it tonight how did you obtain the flash file and do you know of any flash application the good ... I should also liked the oem nokia 6255 flash file if possible that way I see also the available features because I also know attel disables some features

I did not obtain this flash file; another HoFo member did. Also, if you go back and read the post to which I linked, you will note that I was in error about the flash being Alltel. In fact, it is a flash file for a USCC 6255i.

guys, while I may not personally have problem with fellow members to pass the files here and there in private but Nokia and the carriers may think otherwise. There have been legal trouble before here at HoFo and beyond like it or not. Simple thing that can be obtained as easy as a PRL file of Verizon can essentially shut up Justa Lurker, remember?

Please keep it a low profile.

Help me Please?
Anybody pls tell me can I load Symbion OS on my phone(6255CDMA). I am unable to install any applications eventhough I use PC Suite 6.8 and Blue tooth Adapter. My Firmware version is V N150V0400.nep. pls also help me by telling me how to update that firmware.

You cannot load the Symbian OS on a series 40 phone like the 6255

Were you able to get that 6255 firmware to work on the 6256i? Does it still work on the verizon network?
