v3 screen fades to almost pure white when closed and opened too quickly

OK, I've got a problem that I can't seem to fix. Sometimes when I close and then quickly open my v3 the inner screen fades almost white, to the point where I can barely read anything on the screen. Almost like the contrast was turned down.
Has anyone else experienced this? should I reflash?
I have to reset the phone for the normal look to come back.

no one has ever had this happen to them with any phone, huh?
