I don't use a notepad program, per se, but I do use Diddlebug, which allows me to write out notes and save them. It also lets you use the keyboard to input a note, but I find scribbling down a note is faster than typing it. It doesn't convert the scribbles to typed letters, however. That would be a nice feature.

I have the original Note Pad, the one that all other palms except Treos. I went into my old Zire 72's ROM with FileZ & extracted the prcs & slapped them on my Treo(via FileZ- they won't install through Hotsync) and voila- Note Pad! If anyone wants the prcs, just PM me.

But I also use BugMe! notepad with CueCardNotes(neat overlay graphics like graph paper, notebooks paper, index card, IOUI, etc...).

BTW, with FileZ could you not just Beam anything from a Palm to a Treo? For example, why can you not just beam the Note Pad to the Treo? How did you get the prc file using FileZ?

Also, then, could you not send Voice Memo from the Palm as well to a Treo using the same method as the Treo has no good voice record feature?

Yes, you can just beam stuff like that, I think you just have to unlock them first. And yes, I once DID have the voice recorder too, but my stupid ex stole my Zire & my Treo is the only Palm I have now.

when you use FileZ for something like Voice Memo (and Note Pad - which has 4 associated files) there are like 5 files (Voice Pad, Voice Pad_enUS, Voice Pad_Vpad_appl_a68, VoiceMemoUtils, VpadDB).. would you just send all 5 over or just the app and it will recreate the others?

Check this thread. I'm really happy with Notepad application they are talking about!

Here's a vote for diddlebug. Works great for me.

I like EasyNotes which allows me to input text, scribbles and voice. And I can set an alarm too.

But for strictly notes, Pennovate seems so cool!

Although I haven't tried it yet, MobileWrite looks like a pretty good program. Unfortunately, it isn't cheap at $24.95 US.

Where can you get CueCardNotes? Sounds like a neat add on.
