Hello,

as the title states, im interested in the d600, what are your opinions about it?

Posted by: cell567

It has a very nice 2mp camera. I don't own the phone personaly, but have seen pics taken with it and I was impressed. It having quadband capabalities over its D600E counterpart is a plus in my case. The only thing it lacks I believe, but not sure how much important to you, is EDGE. Other than the EDGE, I think its a very nice phone. Just my opinion for w/e its worth.

Posted by: Navid

yes i love the fact that it has 850 (very important to me), and i dont use internet at all so it should be good

Yeah man, if you have the funds to shell out for one of these suckers, then by all means do so. Its a nice phone.

Is the D807 gonna be released soon? I heard Q2?..When is that? I am also thinking of getting the D600 but if the D807 is comming out soon...maybe I will wait.

There is NO point in waiting for the D807 over the D600. The D807 only has a 1.3mp camera, lacks the stereo speakers of the D600 and its screen is 176x220 compared to the 240x320 screen of the D600.

just got it .. after some initial concerns re: lack of profiles/simultaneous vibe & ring option/possible dust under the screen issues, i think it is a great phone - amazing internal memory (70+mb!!!) and, as mentioned, unlimited expansion opportunities thanks to TransFlash (a.k.a. MiniSD) slot.

the clarity of the phone is incredible - both audibly and visually. the camera takes GREAT pictures (also has moderately sophisticated photographic options) and the video camera is thus pretty solid too.

the ONLY, and I mean only (since I don't need EDGE to speed up my $$$/KB Fido downloads which I refuse to use on principle alone) limitation this phone seems to have is battery life . A full charge with moderate use (2 hours talk?) seems to get me 2 - 3 days standby. Thankfully, since I don't live in a cave on the Pakistan/Afghanistan border, I have regular access to power outlets.

Sorry to burst your bubble but transflash =/= minisd.. its MicroSD

And to reply to the topic starter.. I'm loving my D600.. currently theres no dust issues at all after 2 months. I have no issues at all with my battery. The no vibe/ring option doesn't bother me that much since my ringtone is loud enough to be heard from my pocket.

My only concern is the stupid white bar which is in some firmwares

The one behind the date/time >_< It's hard to find a good wallpaper of a person that won't get their head cut off by that bar.

Well good luck deciding.. this phone is worth getting imo.

I'm also thinking about getting the D600...Will my Motorola H3 Bluettoh be capable withit??

Plus does the D600 play MPEG4??

Thank you all for your opinions, i think im going to get it, but before that, what do you guys think about the t809/d820, even though its got a weaker camera, it looks alot nicer, however i heard people complaining about dust under the screen, what do you guys think about this phone?

Posted by: vietfx

psywash: yes it does play MPEG4
Navid: sorry, i don't have any personal experiences with the T809/D820.. but most people complain about the dust under the screen from having the phone for 2 days.. to 2 months.. to not having any dust at all.

The D600 is the way to go. The camera is awesome, the speakers sound pretty good. and love the form factor. Overall 10/10.
