Verizon 6700- How do I beam all contacts (bluetooth)??

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I can set my car bluetooth to receive phonebook entrie(s), and I can
beam a single contact to the car (which automatically goes over the
bluetooth connection) - what I can't figure out how to do is beam all
of the contacts (I don't want to beam them one by one, that'll take
me a month) over in a single beam? I can't seem to multiple select
contacts and I don't see any Beam All option, anyone have any ideas
on how to accomplish this? Either with the built-in software or with
an add-on utility? Any help greatly appreciated!

Jason

When your Contacts are displayed, turn on the On-screen Keyboard, hit the CTL and letter "A" to select all. You can then perform the Bluetooth transaction on all the selected Contacts.

After you select all, use Tools and Beam Contacts.

does it highlight all of the contacts? Litteraly NOTHING happens when i hit CTL then A that would indicate that more than the current conact is selected.

Open Contacts from the Start Menu List. All your Contacts should be displayed. Open On Screen Keyboard. Click the CTL Key and then touch A, not upper case A. Going to upper case turns off the CTL key. All the contacts should be highlighted.

It may be that Verizon has disabled some of the Bluetooth functionality to require you to use its data network. Ka Ching! The functionality is part of Windows Mobile 5.0.

I've got a Sprint PPC-6700 and this doesn't work for me.

PPCContactsMgr Plugin download_trans.gif Download

Description:

PPCContactsMgr is a plugin for the Outlook contacts. It allows to select multiple contacts at once for deletion.

2 menus items have been added to the standard menu.
- Select All Contacts
- Delete Selected Contacts

If you select multiple contacts with the stylus, you will be capable of deleting them.

Cheers

ps.: the cab file should be copied on the ppc and installed from there. The PPCContactsMgr.dll (plugin) is installed in the windows directory (/Windows)

This is in the manual for the XV6600:
Beaming a contact
1 To beam a contact, in the contact list, tap and hold the contact. On the pop-up
menu, tap Beam Contact.
2 To beam multiple contacts, tap and drag to select the contacts. Then, tap
Tools → Beam Contacts
