Razr V3 Flash/Flex help

Alright, so I'm new to this phone upgrading business. I have a locked Razr V3 and I'm with T-Mobile. To flash/flex this phone, does it have to be unlocked, or can I upgrade with it being locked on T-Mobile. Currently here's what my phone has:
S/W Version: R374_G_0E.42.09R
Flex Version: GSMV3xxTMB01NA106
I'd like to know how to upgrade.. I have PST and I know how to Flash the files... but I don't know which Flash/Flex file to get. I also here something about a Bootload, which I am clueless about. Thanks for your help!
