Err... what does UIQ stand for?

Super noob question here

What does UIQ stand for? and What its the different between all the symbian's number, such as Sym 60, Sym 70 and Sym 90...

UIQ = User Interface Quartz

My understanding is that Symbian is the underlying OS while UIQ, Series 60/70/90 are the UI on top. UIQ apps won't run on any of the Nokia UIs and vice versa. Not sure between the Nokia ones.

They have source converters though I believe that would recompile code for one platform into the other but these are rumours to me.
