pebl on roam

have an unlocked pebl on cingular service that shows the roam symbol all the time. cingular said they sent a fix to me but it still has the symbol showing. cingular says there is nothing they can do because it's not their phone. is there a way to turn the roam off???

Not without flexing the phone. There is no way to do it through the handset. As long as you have a Nationwide plan, I would just ignore it. It will have no impact on your billing.

seem 0032_0001, offset 34, bit 3 (Display Roam Triangle Icon) - set this to off

does it matter? the roaming icon means the areas have yet to be integrated, once integrtion is done, and the tower ids change, you will not see the roaming icon, because all the MCC/MNC's will match up, kinda usefull if you ask me, so keep it, its good to have
