Keep motorola v400 (cingular) or MUCh better one out there?

Hello,
I have had my Motorola v400 for 2 years now. Here is what I love about it:
1. I can put custom ring tones on it
2. Camera with ample storage
3. bejeweled
4. I can check my hotmail e-mil with it

this is what I hate:
1. HORRIBLE volume, I always have trouble hearing
2. HORRIBLE battery life. Even with a new battery it lasts only 1.5 days (even w/o any talking)

I went to the local cingular store, and from what I saw, the phones they offered weren't much better than mine in features. I mean, a slightly better camera doesn't warrant spending $200.

So, are there any new phones out three that have a vast improvement? I don't care about size that much because I have a purse:P I love to text and wish I could surf the internet. However, $200 really is my limit because I'm in school.

So, should I just keep my moto until it dies, or get a new phone (if so, recs?)? Is it worth it?

thanks,
Jess

Wirelessly posted (LG-CU320 Obigo/WAP2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

You could get the new verison of that v557 for less then 200 or get an older one the moto a630

the 2 things you hate: the earpiece volume can be set to be louder and the battery life is average for phones today. my w900i sometimes will barely make it through one day without recharging.

i say the v557 would be ideal if your used to the motorola interface and like it.
