Versamail
Bluetooth
both useless for whati want to do as it needs to go to another PHONE

what can i do here? i have a $500 phone and it cant do this!? very pathetic

do i need some software to do it? certain program? help me out here.

ps im on the Telus network, CDMA

Thats weird. I send pics all the time using messaging. No extra stuff needed here.

Are you trying to send it from Pics & Videos or from Messaging? Cause in messaging all you do is create a new msg & click 'add' & it'll give you the option to add a picture or a video.

I, too, have the same problem! I can't send pictures and it sends me to some web site viewmypicture.com with a long id name and long password that you can't memorize and then it still won't work even when you write it down to go view it. Cingular says it is a problem on their end stemming from the hurricane last summer...still trying to get the bugs outs of the system. Works well on my wife's sony ericcson phone though, but not on the treo 650

where is this "add?" theres Nothign there for that AT ALL in messanging. and in the picture menu i can only email or bluetooth it!! how are you guys doing this??

I called my service provider and they found it was a blocked part in their system. I guess it doesn't help to call several times in order to get it right.

I was about to ask who your service provider is. Some providers lock MMS. On the PPC 6700 I had a few months back, Sprint locked MMS on it. Sucks.

Telus is the provider!

I found out quite by accident that when you send a picture message from a pcs phone to a treo 650 on the telus network, the phone portion will reset and or turn itself off. Anyone else have this issue? Other thing is last night, after going to the phone after about 30 seconds it would turn itself off. but this morning it seems to be working fine. Any clues??

Does anyone have this figured out yet? I am on the Alltel network and am unable to send or recieve any picture messages. At least I see that I am not alone on this.

My provider (MTS Mobility in Manitoba, Canada) explicitly states on their Treo page that if you want to send pictures you need to use e-mail because it won't work with SMS.

same here....

I have an idea. Try a little app called "send with SMS". It should be on mytreo.net. It sort of unlocks the SMS lockdown on file sending.

I can tell you the problem with smaller carriers and MMS is that MMS does not come by default on most Smartphones. Companies like Sprint, Verizon and Cingular order enough units that the manufacturers get a 3rd party software developer to create the MMS feature for them and install it in the build of the phone. Smaller carriers don't have that option unless they go out and deal directly with companies like Arcsoft and it ends up costing smaller carriers more than it's worth.

I am sure you operator can help out. Is the phone branded to them?
