oud feedback after earpiece gain mod

I used P2KMan to mod the gain table on my V3. The earpiece was just too low even when maxed out at 7. I believe the default is 01 on the 0D earpiece setting. I put it up to the max of 08. The earpiece is now WAY louder (so much so that Im considering bumping that down). However, even when I have the phone earpiece volume set at 2 or 3 (on the phone not the seem) I can now hear my own voice and all the background noise my phone picks up... and very loud. People dont hear me or the background noise as louder when I talk to them, but it's carried over onto my earpiece as much louder... so much so that it covers up the incomming sound and negates the mod. Did I do something wrong and increase something I shouldnt have? Do I now have to decrease or change another setting ( I dont want to decrease the mic sensitivity)? Did I just put it too high and changing the gain to 04 will help? What can I do? I am not sure if this is common or not because my simple search turned up nothing, but Im at work and dont have the time to dig at the moment. It is also annoying because when I talk I hear my voice loud and slightly echoed as if I was on roam or analog.

you need to cut the earpiece gain back to 04 or 05 max!!

Wont 08 gain and a phone setting of 2 be the same as o4 gain and a phone setting of 4, or is my understanding of this all wrong? I get seemingly the same loudness of feedback regardless of the phone's setting from 1-7 with the current gain.

That doesn't fix the problem. It seems to be a problem regardless of the tool you use, and it happens even if you edit the gain table directly.

I found that your microphone gain is the most sensitive to feedback. You may want to lower that seem setting first.
