F/W for 703SHf...

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I just bought a 703SHf last week and I have a problem. Whenever I press the menu button, I have a "RE-PROVISIONING" message. Is there a way to get rid of it or do I have to wait for some new f/w to that I can flash the phone.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hey chewy88, I have the same problem you have and I think we have to wait for a new firmware or something... Maybe someone else have a better solution to this? Some please help us! Thanks!

The re-provisioning is a feature on the jap fw. I've seen video of 703shf with that message removed, but it'll come back once you change sim card.

i guess we will have to wait for new f/w to come out then.

one more thing, krosstrain, do u have signal problems? because everytime i enter a building i lose my signal and it says OUT. also, if the phone is in my pocket, i lose it to, depending if im in open air or not.

i know theres a firmware out available for 902 and it improves reception. hopefully when a new f/w comes out for the 703shf, it will do the same

chewy888, my reception is great and I haven't had that problem you mentioned... I mean the bar drops sometimes which is normal but not to the point where it display 'OUT'. I've had that experience before but its inside a basement where other people's phone had the same problem so I know its the location instead of the phone. Also, do you know how to get games for our phone or how to put songs in there? Another thing is the camera, do you know how to get rid of the delay on the camera? My friend was messing with it yesterday and got rid of the delay but now its back... It seems not too many people got this phone except for us or they are just not posting. Thanks!

i only got the phone last week, so im still getting acquainted with it.

as for games, i don't know and haven't tried to put any on. i read from other threads that you only can get them using WAP. it won't work if its on ur memory card.

as for music, look thru the threads in this section, some1 posted something putting songs on the phone.

this is what i did:

first, convert whatever songs u want to put on ur phone to .AAC
after that, change its name to .m4a (just right click the song, and add .m4a)
put it on ur memory card in the "sounds and ringtones" file
and now ur good to go.

worked for me.

I've seen terenshi's video where he can play games from sd card, but don't know how he does it.

No you don't, cause there will NOT be a new firmware for it, and it will NOT change this. The firmware must be *modified* in order to get rid of that. Certain unlockers do some tricks that get rid of it.

ALL Japanese phones have this issue, so it's not just cause of an old firmware version or anything.

kaizouku_san, how did you get rid of this problem for your 903 then? That re-provisioning problem is pretty annoying. Also I hope I can get the phone book to list numbers alphabetically cuz right now, its pretty messy for mine... Any suggestions?

that was acutaly a diif f/w for the 703 NOT the f/w for the 703shf

You know what the unlocker versions were never stable, most of the stable f/w came from the international version of the phone such as the 833 or the euro version. Since there is not going to be a 703 shf international version, I would think that you are going to stuck with either a cracker version or the reprovisioning sorry
