What's a good mp3 size to use for the V635?

I got my V635 today and I love it. I want to start transferring mp3s to the phone. What is a good size to cut them down to, since I assume sending the song as is would be too big and too powerful for the phone.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks!

it all depends. if you have a big tf card and you wanna use your fone as an mp3 player and stuff you can set the bitrate to 192kbps MAX. of if you have a small card and use songs for mp3 ringtones and stuff you can scale it down to 32kbps if you like. there's not much difference with the sound though because it coming out of a 1 inch speaker. lol
the lower the bitrate, the smaller the file so you'll be able to fit alot more songs at lower bitrates. as ringtones go, you phone only rings for 30 secs so that's the max length of the song that'll playwhen your phone rings.

So leaving it at 192 won't damage the speaker at all? That's mainly what I'm worried about since I got a 512mb TF card.

It won't damage the speakers as long as you don't do any seem edits on the gain table or listen on the speakers at the loudest volume setting on the phone all the time.

It's a phone, not an iPod. I'd say keep them to 64kbps max since you're not looking to have TXH 7.1 surround sound from your phone every time you get a call... right?

Its not the bitrate that is going to kill your speaker, its the bass. Those tiny speakers dont respond well to low tones. Its good to have a program such as Audacity(free) that can filter out lower tones. You can also change bitrate and many more things with that prog.

the bass wouldnt be a problem if u listen to the music thru the headset or an fm adapter to play it in a car stereo would it????

The problem isn't necessarily quality, but volume. I don't notice a difference between the v635 and the RAZR in those terms, which I thought there was a big difference.
