I saw this while surfing at the Mobile Burn website. Interesting looking fone. Just curious if anyone on HoFo has this fone and if so what are your thoughts and/or impressions.

the phone is sold in hk under smartone-vodafone, at HKD 4180, although you can get it else where from hk3800, it is available in white/silver, black/silver and yellow/white.
a 3G 2.3 mp ccd camera phone
the phones looks like a toy, but it is quite solid built,the phone has many common things which is very similar to that of the 902sh/sx813, the quality of the camera can easily match of even better than that of the 902sh/sx813. the display is one of the best on the market, the main selling point is the multimedia part, that is why it has external function buttons., sound quality as you would expect is very good even from the supplied headset, the remote looks very similar to that of the ipod remote. you can also buy an optional viewing glasses to see a video etc.(also compatible with 902,903,703 and the 804.the quality of the video is very good, offering something like 30 fps.I think the best part is the UI, unlike sharp when you only get one theme, this model you get three, 1 smartone/vodafone, 2 normal tpye theme and a cartoon type theme, which is quite cool, looks something of that of the 703sh with the disney theme, ppl with the jap version 703sh will know what i'm taking about.
well thats the good part, the down side is the phone has only one camera, so video call is not supported, the size is big, the shape is kinda weird and as said it looks like a toy.
if you ask me if i would buy it , i guest not, i kinda like the 902t and 903t, but this model is not officially out in hk.

One of my buddies just ordered a TX60. I'm gonna play w/ it the day it arrives so I'll post my views on it when it arrives next week.

He bought it from Timsta (Umobileco). It should be arriving today or tomorrow. I'm going to have a chance to play around w/ the fone when it arrives so I'll post more about it later on.

My buddy's TX60 arrived today. I had a chance to play around w/ it a little. It's too bad the fone isn't quadband as w/ Rogers Wireless having 850 makes a huge difference but that's another story. I'm gonna mess w/ the fone some more once it's charged but here are some pics I took of it. (For those who still use dial up... this is NOT 56K friendly)

Oo, the menu looks quite nice (even though i wish it were blue than red, but it looks better than other smartone menus =D) and i cant wait to find out more about the phone. if it takes decent pictures, videos, and has better mp3 ringtone capabilities than the sharp 903, maybe i'll consider this instead. i'd like the white one or the green one.

for the menu there is 3 themes to chose from, one is shown above, there is the vodafone menu and a cartoon type style, similar to the disney theme on the 703sh japanese version.

i have read that the phone doesn't fully support mp3 playback?
are you able to play mp3s on it?
there's something to do with the beatxxx engine or something...
w/ its functions (not taking into account its size) this is a great phone at a great price point

The TX60 has no MP3 restrictions in regards to DRM. As long as you are using 192 or lower bitrate MP3 playback works great.

Hi I recently just got a TX60 from my friend. But when i tried to put in my FIDO simcard the phone tries the card and gives the following message

"THIS SIM CARD CANNOT BE USED"

Is the phone locked? Anyone experienced the same problem?
