hearing problems

Hi 
can anyone help me work out how to adjust the volume on my motorola V3x I can hardly hear the person on the other end of a call 
have treid using the buttons on the side as per the manual up full but they dont help. Ive only had the phone a few days and really confused.

I think you could seem edit it to make it louder. Or your unit is one of those unfortunated defected ones. Or you could send it to Motorola to have them get it fixed...

how can I edit it to make it louder please? Yes it could be defective I thought it an idea to ask anyone else with the same phone if they had come across this problem first.

sent the phone back and now have another one which works perfectly so it was a faulty phone thanks for all who gave advice.
