Anyone else not getting Google Local working on 8700r?

As with my previous Bell units, the screen is stuck on the "Loading" part.

Any ideas guys? Any config settings, Google's FAQ doesn't really seem to say much.

Apparently lots of people have gotten it to work on their 8700r but this is one app that I can't get working. Please advise, thanks.

Works fine on my 8700, are you using a Bell BB or Rogers? If it is Bell it could be it's not working as Bell locks down the ports which enable third party app connections. If your connected to BES it's a different story.

I've loaded it fine on a non-BES Bell Blackberry. The service books allow the client to work without full MDS.

i havent had any issues with my 8700r, ive been using it since late nov or early december from what i can recall, ive used it on my bes and non-bes BB and its smooth sailing!

only tough part is the data consumption

( thnk God for that rogers demo line)

It's a Rogers (rogers only device for now) blackberry, working with BES. Still can't figure it out, argh. Emailed google and they politely told me they can't support me.

Does your BES admin have any IT Policy in place to block third party apps?

Nope, but I'll double check the server tomorrow.

I think it's an MDS config issue, but will play around with it a bit more.

I've been using Google local for months now on my 8700R with no issues. I had one applications once and had to restart the Berry. Other than that it's been smooth sailing.

Are you running the latest o/s also?

Try upgrading the o/s from:
https://www.blackberry.com/Download...DC068A355BBA31A

Then try to re-install the app.
