Has anyone found any pics of the new Sanyo 6600 or the Sanyo 8400 for Sprint?

Posted by: subywrx

here you go sanyo6600

Posted by: pbombach

how about the 8400? Any picks of that available?

Posted by: bumpinblazer

i can't get any pics from the 8400 yet as nobody wants to even give me a release date. That 6600 looks like crap from that angle.

Posted by: vramjuss

I am sure they will rock.. cause i have had the 4500, 6000, 8300 and the 7500 and they have all rocked.. so i am sure the picture doesn't do it justice

a few more pics of the 6600.

Posted by: bumpinblazer

well according to a sprintusers thread, the katana is going to be 600 bucks?

http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=95014

that's the link no pics but a lot of info. if any of it's true then that blows as i don't know many people who will fork over 600 bucks in the states for that phone. especially with only 4hr talk time.

Posted by: vramjuss

only 4 hr talk time??
most phones have 3 hrs
isnt 4 better

Posted by: Milkbone98

Theres a lot more information about the phone now, $99 after instant rebate, QVGA, BT, etc. Sounds good.

Posted by: bumpinblazer

so then i'm guessing the sprintusers link i posted, the guy is talking out of his ***?

Posted by: Milkbone98

one way to say it, i tried to be diplomatic It was early stuff though.

Nice on the green 8200, dont see that every day

Posted by: bumpinblazer

thanks, the LCD screen is cracked though so I'm not sure what i should do about it. tuff little phone, went through a full wash cycle on accident lol.

Posted by: vramjuss

inner lcd. i really want to use insurance and then use my leverage as i've been with sprint longer than most and my contract is up in about 4 months. i'm just goint to tell them that since they screwed me out of my last 150 dollar rebate when i got the 8200 that if i don't get to use what i spent on this phone towards a new one, then i'll walk lol.

I am a manager for Radio Shack, and yesterday we had our Peak Of Performance meeting, another new handset coming out from Sanyo is the VI2400, upgrade to the 2300. In my opinion and from what I saw, it looks just like the 8200. Also, the 6600, Radio Shack will have an exclusive of the White color, According the our Reps.

Posted by: Milkbone98

If the white is shiny and smooth, that'll be hot! The 2400 is sposed to have a camera, right?

Posted by: Son_Of_Adam

the new sayno will actually be the 3100, not the 2400. there will be a 2400, no camera, just updated 2300. 3100 will come in silver, blue, pink, and crazy enough a brown color. it looks good though!

Posted by: Bizcod

Is there a launch date for the 6600?

so you can give us all a release date and price then right? if you know you're getting an exclusive you have to know price and release date.

i got my hands on a powerpoint from a sanyo rep. it has some high res shots of the 2400, 3100, 8400 and 6600. other than the 6600 they're all pretty similar to the 7500 in that they have a similar shape, minus the rubber bumpers.

those blurry shots of the 6600 don't do it justice. it is bad azz, but it does really remind me of the razr though. the flip doesn't go all the way to the bottom of the phone when it's closed and i don't really like the way the camera lines have that sweep upward look. hopefully it won't have the problems of the friggin a900. if it doesn't i am getting one.

so you take that powerpoint from a sanyo rep and post it on here....please

Its a Sanyo, tested fully and not slapped together in a hurry like a Samsung.

Do you have a date on when the Sanyo 6600 will be coming out? Everywhere I look, someone is listing a different release date.

Posted by: mfreshlakers

Unfortunately no, according to our reps, it was due out in MAY. May has come and No word on the release date. I'm guessing sometime in the summer is the targeted date.

Very disheartening. No cool new Sanyo phones, horrible reception at my house, my husband telling me to just get a Samsuck... Sprint, Sprint, Sprint, throw me a bone here! I need some !

Posted by: DevalB

I'm waiting for my local Sanyo rep to find his way to my stores to show it off

this so called 6600 Katana deal is a rough topic to preach on.

When everything was first rumored, Sanyo was supposed to make 3 different handsets, like the Katana, that is now in competition for the RAZR that T-mobile and Cingular sell now.

Now stick with me here, this is gonna get tricky. The first handset rumored was the "Katana" or "6600." This phone was to be nothing short of what Motorola released called the "MPx" which was made special edition for oh idk, about a month? and then discontinued. But the Katana was to be the same, both opposite locking hinges, so the phone could open both vertical and horizontal for texting, input, whatever. Sanyo was to produce their own kind of text input, different than T9, to make it there own. It was supposed to be EVDO, 1.3 megapixel camera and camcorder. lots of memory. so on and so forth.

what the Katana is now, is an ugly, RAZR like phone, short of so many features that just makes the A900 look better. Yes it has bluetooth, and it's thin. but no 1.3 megapixel camera, no EVDO, AND IT'S UGLY!! will this change? possibly. i'm 20 years old and have had 20 something different cell phones. its my life.

i would hope Sanyo sticks to something along the line of a super device...or a pocket PC. whatever you want to the call the first device that was rumored.

there are 2 more devices in production from sanyo, all with the metal feel and same sence of style, just different in features. i'd have to find that thread and talk to my Sprint rep to rememeber what they were to become. but that's that on the Katana so far.
