i was wondering if anyone knows how to change locked buttons to allow them to take on a new function such as the right, left and smart key? i have a v360 and i would like to change the t-zones button into opera mini. if possible i would like to be able to change that button to do anything i want like i can the others.

your tzones plan lets you operate opera mini? i can never get mine to connect for some reason. im on the 2.99 plan.

YES search for my posts to find the settings i used. i have basic t-zones. but does anyone have an answer for my original question?

cool i got it to work thanks. how is it locked?

to change the smart keys on my e398 go to settings > personalise > Home screen > Home keys > all the keys are there to be changed. im pretty sure you've already tried that so you need to find the seem to unlock it. try motomodders.net.

so you can change the key that has a picture of the globe thats for t-zones? or the one that has a picture of the camera? you can change both of those to anything u want?

i forgot that you have an extra button on your phone unlike my e398. sorry i have no clue how to change your buttons. maybe there's a flash or flex that will unlock your phone and remove that locked button.

does that mean i can only change the key to the other existing keys? i can't make it custom changable? like i could change it to 0 1234 etc or right and left soft key, or smart key, camera, messages, the up down right left arrow keys... things like that? how would i change it to a key i could program anything on?

I guess i could make it like "video" and change my shortcut to video (right arrow) to opera mini? would somthing like that work?

*update* well i was able to change that key to go to my videos folder, although i would prefer it would go to my video camera. The v360 must have changed the code names for certain functions. or maybe im not doing it right for the longer names. I tryed "Bluetooth"
"VideoCamera" and "Video" Video was the only one that changed the function, the others made the button do nothing. I noticed even though the 0313 and 0314 seems have a different number of letters (Browser has 7 VS Camera has 6) the total number of characters in both seems is 24. I kept them at 24 even when i added "VideoCamera" i dont know if i was supposed to, but that worked for "Video"
My code for Video looks like this...ill combine both the HEX code and Text code cause its easier to write. 00 V 00 i 00 d 00 e 00 o 00 00 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF.

For VideoCamera it looked like this..(maybe someone can let me know if it needs changed?) 00 V 00 i 00 d 00 e 00 o 00 C 00 a 00 m 00 r 00 a 00 00 FF FF. Bluetooth was the same except had extra FF's. well ill keep fiddling with it, any further input would be very helpful.

I got webaccess to work also, i think i might be able to get shortcuts to work, ill try later. At least i have more options now. I never use t -zones now that opera mini works so well.

An alternative if you have a java app you want to set the browser key to is to remap the browser key to the smart key and then assign the smart key to the java app. There's no solid menu code for the individual java apps, so you can't 'hardcode' that into the 313 or 314 seems. Seem 005b controls key mapping. It's very easy to change using a program called P2Kmenu.

if i remapped that to the smart key wouldnt i then have 2 keys that did the same thing? My current smart key goes to my mp3 player, if i remapped the browser wouldnt they both go to the mp3 player, and then if i changed it to opera mini they would both go to it. correct?

but seem 004e controls the link between the key and the java app. Maybe if you look there and with trial/error you might find link for browser key to java app.
