HEY EVERYONE MY GIRLFRIEND LOST HER SK2 TONIGHT...SHE WAS AT HOLLYWOOD BLVD. AND MUST OF DROPPED IT. IF ANYONE HAS FOUND IT OR KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT IT PLEASE CONTACT ME THANKS...I POSTED SOME PICS OF IT FOR HER

You need to call T-Mobile customer service at 1.800.937.8997 and report lost. If she has the insurance, they'll send her another one for $110 fee. Also, T-Mobile can disable her SK, so that no one else will be able to get it activated for use. I'd get her to take care of that right away.

TMob won't be able to disable the sidekick, not in the USA only in Europe can they do that since they have a "blacklist" for cell phones. But have them send a new one, the SK is good as lost though, unfortunatly, the sooner Tmob is called the sooner you can reduce the likelyhood of someone using it and wasting your money.

they ushually scan the imei when they activate it at the store or ask for it and sometimes it will show up as lost/stolen someone tried to activate my friends old i860 after she lost it and they called her up cause it had been found even though she had gotten a new one

exactly but that's if they bring it into the store, otherwise they won't find it, since due to it being GSM you just swap your sim card out of the old phone into the new one.

But the cool thing is that she put a password when you turn on the phone soo they won't be able to use either way and if they call they need to give their info which won't match with the phones owner sooo I'm pretty sure they won't be able to use it....but they her sim card was in there and she did cancel it already

Theres a way to get by that 3 digit passcode

or you can just use a different sim card, or just probably wipe the memory clean and start from scratch with it.

no it will still be there..... not even a hard reset will unlock it...isnt that the one you just painted bigd?

what kind of password is it? a sim password? if so? then you just need to replace the sim, or hook it up to a computer and reset it.

it sounded like he was talking about the privacy lock which is totally different from a sim lock... i think the only way to get it unlocked is to have wireless data use the master unlock code...but only the user of the phone can call in to get that.

yeah its just the one I painted for my girlfriend..she lost it in hollywood blvd.
well hopefully someone is enjoying it right now....oh well....
now shes going to wait for the Sidekick 3 to come out.. shes really going to get that one
