Ok, i bought a v3 and the data cable, installed all the tools and drivers, but whne i plug it into my pc i get the :usb device failed to connect" noise, then after about a minute I get the usb device disconnected noise. MPT detects that ive plugged it in, and takes me to the installign your phone screen, with the clock going around, but fails to actually connect to it. Any idea?

This is happening to me aswell. I cannot sync my V3 with phone tools

I had a similar problem. I contact MPT and they sent a link to a new version 4.04b, and it works OK (aside from the numerour idiosyncracies of the basic product).
