Hello All

I am trying to connect via Bluetooth my 6700 and Mac G4 with BT.
I can pair the devices, but no other file share, or updating is available.
Anyone able to help...
Nice job with the Mobile OS on the 6700. As a Mac guy, I give it two thumbs up!

Thanks in advance, Vern

I had this exact same problem with my PowerBook. I'm assuming that you want to get the bluetooth dialup networking to work.

Here's what I did:

First enable bluetooth dial up networking. By default Verizon has this disabled. Do this either by going here or here.

Next, you need to get the modem script for your mac to use with your 6700 and then use the phone to connect to the internet.

To do this follow the instructions here

At the part where it says:

Quote:
# Click on PPP. T-Mobile users aren’t required to put in a specific username or password, but apparently it breaks if you don’t put something in both fields. If you’re a Cingular subscriber you’ll want to use the following information:
Account Name: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1
# Enter *99# as the phone number.

Put #777 as the number and "qnc" for the username and password.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the info... however, when I go to the phone app and input the ## number, I hit dial, and a network recording tells me my call cant be completed. Any difference that I am on a Telus network? Thanks,, still a bit confused.

And to tag a rider onto this topic, has anyone heard about Mac sync software coming anytime soon? I mean there's Missing Sync, PocketMac, MacintoshPocketPC, etc. etc. but nothing compatible with WM5 yet. The sites all say coming soon, but does anyone know how soon or anything about this?

This worked perfect with my G4. Except, I didnt use the iPAQ modem like it said to do. For some reason there is a Sprint PCS Vision modem/drive on my G4, not sure if that comes preinstalled. I didnt add, not sure how to get it off for others tho. Someone find a way and I can post it.

Hi WilburPigg. It can be a bit confusing. If it's not Verizon, then yes, it will be a different number/user/pass. Also be sure that you're putting that number in on your mac. Be sure to read through the instructions very carefully here . That's the site that actually details how to do the internet connection. So long as you have the modem script, and the correct number/user/pass, it should work.
